Lithium Protection Board Basics Introduction

Because the lithium battery is relatively sensitive to voltage, a little higher or lower will affect the battery life and even damage the battery. Therefore, the lithium battery must be protected on the protection board. The protection board mainly plays the role of charging and discharging the lithium battery pack. The main functions are as follows:
1. Overcharge protection to prevent the battery from being damaged when the lithium battery cell is overcharged;
2, over-discharge protection, to prevent excessive discharge of lithium battery cells lead to battery damage;
3, current limiting and short circuit protection, to prevent the use of lithium batteries exceed the rated current or short circuit caused damage to the battery and the protection board itself;
4, balance function, so that each cell can be fully charged;
5, temperature protection, so that the lithium battery in the normal temperature range, otherwise stop input and output.
